Newbie Guide: Reincarnation

Changing your Guild and Race:

If you have already chosen a race and guild, but have found them to be
unsuitable for lower levels or simply wish to reform your character
for the mere fun of a change, then this is what Reincarnation is for.

Reincarnation means that you can start your character anew, without
losing all of your hard earned EXP.

Immediatly after a Reincarnation, you have what is called a 'Reinc Tax'
of usually about 10%. This means if you reinc again immediatly, you
will lose about 10% of your total exp worth. Each week you wait drops
this Reinc Tax about 1%. The minimum Reinc Tax is 1%.

Reincarnation Tax can vary according to racial attributes, and you
should always consult with a Cleric using the 'estimate worth' spell
should you have any doubt at all about your current Reinc Tax.

When you first begin the game, your Reinc Tax is a mere 1%.

Seek out a Cleric or Necromancer who has the spell, and ask them kindly
to cast it on you. They gain some EXP for this, so most people are
happy to perform this service for you. You must be dead to be reincarnated,
so do not worry when this is asked of you. Accept the reincarnation and
then choose a new path towards a happier Zombie life.

When you reinc, the experience which is converted from your levels,
skills, and spells becomes 'Safe EXP'. This means you will not lose
half of your entire worth should you happen to die mid-reinc. You still
must pay the clerical fee of roughly 200k associated with ressing, and
any experience gained during your reinc beyond that which is 'Safe EXP'
will be halved. Should you pray, you also still risk losing a level if
you have scars on, so beware!

NOTICE: All items carried by you will be sent to another plane of
existence upon Reincarnation. Maybe it would be wise not to carry
anything...
